Maybe it's just me, but this one feels glossier, more spit-shine and polish than some previous episodes. Maybe it's the fact that this show is jam-packed with ID drops from the artists themselves. Maybe it's the inclusion of cuts like Mike Petrone's "Flaws," a cut that I can imagine hearing from mainstream media channels, but it was the honest lyrics that ultimately got to me. Or maybe it's the appearance of "Heat Or Paranoia," a song from a particular artist before making a name for himself on American Idol. I suspect that it's a little bit of each...
