some food for the brain...
Now Playing: polyrhythm addicts - it's my life (feat. phonte of little brother)
Topic: articles

it's hump day, and it's time to get your read on. let Bakari Kitwana's op-ed from New York Newsday serve as a final note regarding the Imus controversy - very well said and really breaks things down for those who want to know what's going on behind the scenes. and while you're in the zone, follow that up with Tracy Sharpley-Whiting's perspective on the sexual politics of hip-hop. i'm seriously considering a sit down with this woman's new book.

and then there's this. found it while hanging out on twitter courtesy of Jersey Todd. i hope it's real. it's terrible that i have to be skeptical of something like this...
